Windows, macOS and Linux notes
What to expect when you install and start tC4 on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Test builds aren't signed yet, so your system may warn you the first time.
| System | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Windows | SmartScreen may warn: click More info › Run anyway. You may need the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime. The plain USFM export may not download. |
| macOS | The first time, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Quit tC4 before you install another version. |
| Linux | Unzip and run start-tc4.sh. |
Steps
- Follow Install and start tC4.
- If your system blocks it, follow its "open anyway" steps above.
Good to know
- Run only one copy of tC4 at a time.
