Check with Translation Notes

Go through the hard places in the book, such as figures of speech or abstract nouns, and check how you translated each one.

Each item is a note that links to a Translation Academy lesson. Other notes stay in the helps panel.

Translation Notes for Sample Titus, item 1 of 157: the quote “for the faith of the chosen people of God and knowledge of the truth” in Titus 1:1. Labels point to All checking tools, Sort, the quote, What to check, Previous and Next, Back to translating, the check list in verse order, the decision buttons, Add a comment and Your translation.

Check a note

  1. Click Check, then Start checking → on the Translation Notes card.
  2. Read What to check. The words it is about are highlighted in the gateway text below.
  3. To learn more about the issue, click Learn more under the note. The Translation Academy lesson opens in a panel on the right. Close it with ✕.
  4. Under Your translation, tap the word or words that translate the highlighted quote.
  5. Choose ✓ Mark valid, Invalid or To do. See Decide on a check item.
  6. Click → at the top right to go to the next item. Marking an item does not move you on.

To stop, click ← Back to translating at the bottom left.

Find your way

If you change a verse after you decided on it, translationCore asks you to look at that decision again. Nothing is lost.
